Vlora, the town of the Albanian flag and the Albanian independence. Located in the south of Albania, Vlora is a delightful town. Just by the point where the Ionian and Adriatic sea meet, you will find the city of Ismail Qemalo, the man who raised the flag and declared independence in 1912. In Vlora, you will see the balcony where the Albanian flag was raised that now is a museum. You can visit the museum of independence where the declaration of independence is found. You can see a lot of statues dedicated to Albanian independence, but also you can see a beautiful religious place that overlooks the city, called Kuzum Baba, this place attracts many visitors yearly. Also, you can take a walk by the newly renovated lungomare which is by the sea and lets the warm sea breeze hit your face in lovely summer nights.
