The promise

Water is where the Balkans is still most itself — rivers that were never dammed, lakes older than Europe, a coast the crowds haven’t found.

We design private paddling journeys across it all: a single unforgettable day on the Vjosa, a spring descent of the Osumi canyons, a week of sea kayaking on the Riviera — or the full crossing of the peninsula, river by river. Tell us the water you dream about; we build the trip around it.

A few minutes on the water with us — press play.

The Vjosa — Europe's wild river

Rafting and kayaking on the continent's last big free-flowing river, now protected end-to-end as Europe's first Wild River National Park. Turquoise braids, thermal springs at Bënja, lively but friendly white water — and the knowledge that nothing upstream was ever dammed.

The Osumi canyons

For a few weeks each spring, snowmelt turns the Osumi into the Balkans' most theatrical rafting: 20 kilometres of sculpted canyon, waterfalls pouring off the rims, walls closing to a corridor of light. Short season, long memory.

The Ionian coast

Sea kayaking and SUP along the Riviera — limestone capes, hidden coves reachable only by water, beach lunches in villages the road forgot. Paddle past Porto Palermo's fortress or out to caves the boats can't enter.

The great lakes

Dawn paddles on waters older than the continent's memory — Ohrid, a UNESCO lake a million years deep in stories; wild, bird-loud Prespa; the reed labyrinths of Shkodra. Perfect stand-alone days, and the easiest way to add water to any Albania itinerary.

The flagship

The Grand Journey — Bosnia to Albania, river by river.

Our signature water expedition crosses the peninsula from the deep river country of Bosnia, through Montenegro’s great gorges, down to the wild rivers of Albania — a paddling journey through three countries’ best water, with everything in between arranged: transfers, borders, beds, tables.

The full route isn’t published — journeys like this are designed for the people who take them. Write to us and we’ll draw yours.

How we run it

Serious about water, relaxed about everything else.

  • Guides & safety

Every trip runs with experienced, licensed water guides — full safety briefing before launch, helmets and buoyancy aids on white water, routes chosen daily by water level and your group's ability.

  • Equipment provided

Rafts, kayaks, SUPs, paddles, wetsuits where the water asks for them, dry bags for your things. You bring swimwear, sunscreen and the appetite for a riverside lunch.

  • Everything around the water

Transfers to put-in and from take-out, accommodation on multi-day trips, meals, and a plan B when the river has other ideas — the full DMC behind every paddling day.

Who it’s for

If you can swim, there’s a trip here for you.

No paddling experience is needed for most of our waters — guides handle the technique, you handle the grinning. Families do beautifully on the Vjosa’s gentler stretches and the lakes; the Osumi in high spring and open-sea days ask for a bit more nerve and fitness. Tell us honestly who’s coming, and we’ll match the water to the group — never the group to the water.

How tailor-made works

You bring the group. We read the water.

1

Tell us your shape

Dates, group, swimming comfort — and the water you're dreaming about, if you know it.

2

We design it

The right river, lake or coast for your season and level, with a clear day-by-day and price.

3

We refine together

More adrenaline? More picnic? A rest day in Gjirokastra? We adjust until it fits.

4

You paddle, we handle

Guides, kit, transfers, beds and meals — all managed on the ground by our own team.

Not sure which water is yours?

Tell us your group and your dates.

We’ll tell you where the water will be best that week — and we’ll say so if the season is wrong for what you had in mind.
