This sea kayaking in Drymades tour starting in Drymades will show you the best of what the Albanian Riviera has to offer.
Drymades is a small village that resides on a beautiful coastal mountain slope. Located just north of Himara in the southern part of Albania, you can visit this beautiful location on your way down the Riviera to Saranda. To write about Drymades one has to say firstly that it is one of the most attractive and sought-after beaches in Albania. A long, white beach backed by olive trees and luxurious hotels.
Build uphill overlooking the Ionian Sea, the Drymades village is one of the most famous in Albania. It comprises 3 neighborhoods, Gjilekates, Kondraqia, and Drymades. The name of the village derives from Greek DRYS which means oak because the village has a lot of oak trees. It is one of the most preferred destinations for Albanian’s, foreigners, and famous people. It was ranked second on The Guardian list of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in Europe.
While on this tour you will explore Drymades’s seascapes and coast, its crystal clear waters, and stunning beaches. You will see where the sea touches the sky and you will be left speechless. You will explore the pirates’ cave, as well as the best beaches in the surrounding area.
Lasting 6.5 hours, you will travel from Drymades to Gjipe, a truly unique beach nestled within a canyon. We believe that to truly experience the Riviera, you need to see it from the viewpoint of the water.
Feel the sun on your shoulders as you paddle the coastline. Lay on the warm sand after cooling off in the pristine water. End your day feeling accomplished, relaxed, and more in awe of what Albania has to offer.
For this tour, you do not need previous experience. The guides will be with you to show you the way.
We meet at the Drymades Inn Resort where the guides await with their kayaks. You will have a small explanation of what you are going to do. Then you will head out to your sea adventure in Albania.
