The old town is surrounded by the mountains of the Lovćen National Park and the waters of the Skadar Lake National Park are close to its commercial center. The Lovćen National Park in the Dinara Alps encompasses Mount Lovćen, the Black Mountain from which Montenegro gets its name.

Peter II ( Petrovic Njegos ) is purportedly the greatest Montenegrin ruler, poet, philosopher. His Mausoleum is on top of the second-highest mountain on the coast – Jezierski – & it requires considerable effort to get up to view it.
There is a tunnel through the base of the approach with 461 steps requiring some level of fitness! When you emerge you are spectacularly rewarded with views that drop away at your feet.
The museum belongs to Petrovic Njegos, a ruler and poet of Montenegro.
To mention is that his Mausoleum is considered to be top of the world, as it’s on the second-highest mountain in Montenegro. To climb to the mausoleum is an adventure itself.
As the trio there consists of 461 steps. Meanwhile, from there you can see the most beautiful parts of Montenegro.

We will drive up above Kotor on the famous serpentine road from 19th century which will guarantee you with stunning vistas over Boka Bay. Our next stop will be Njeguši village where the best prosciutto (smoked ham) is made. 30 minutes break is enough to relax and enjoy these culinary delights. From Njeguši village we will continue our adventure driving to highest point of Lovćen Mountain. There we will find the highest mausoleum in the world dedicated to Peter II Petrović Njegoš. What’s great about this place, is that almost 70% of Montenegro is visible from this point and you can take breathtaking photos of Skadar Lake and Boka Bay. In the end of this visit we will drive through Lovcen National Park down to the Old Royal Capital of Montenegro. The town of Cetinje with its numerous historic buildings, museums, music, art and acting school remains still the center of culture, history and education of Montenegro. After this lovely visit we will head back to Kotor and on the way to our hotel (time permitting), we can cool down swimming in Jazz Beach, one of the best Montenegrin beaches.
