In this day trip of Albania from Budva, we will take you to one historical city in Albania named Shkodra. Shkodra is a beautiful city located in the northwestern Albania.
Shkodra is one of the main historical cities in Albania. It is a city straight out of a Fairytale. Many say that Shkodra is where urbanization began.
When saying Shkodra is a magical city we must tell you the Legend of Rozafa Castle. Rozafa was a girl that was married in a family of three brothers. The brothers were building a castle during the day, but during the night the castle was destroyed by a force out of this world.
So the legend goes, one of the brothers has a talk with his “dead father”, who tells him that the castle will stand only if you immurate the wife of the brother who will feed them the next day in the walls and the castle will stand.
He tells his brothers and they tell their wives to not feed them the next day, so Rozafa goes to send them food and they immurate her in the walls, but she accepts only on one condition.
Thus, shall they leave one of her breasts outside, so she could breastfeed her baby. But this is not the only thing you can see in Shkodra.
