Albania Agritourism Tour – Farm Life goes North Albania

That is why we have made a list of these agritourism farms for you, so you can experience good food, great company and a wonderful view, in these places where heaven meets earth. Above all, you will try the delicious farm-to-table culinary experience that they provide.

We visit the city of Lezhe and the memorial grave of Scanderbeg. Lunch will be served in the agritourism center of Fishte. The birthplace of the famous Albanian writer Gjergj Fishta.

There we will sample the delicious food of the surrounding Lezha region. After, we will continue our journey to the town of Puka where we will visit the nearby agricultural farms. Dinner and accommodations will be in the Hani I Lacit guesthouse in Puke.

Secondly, we will continue to picturesque Puka. We travel by local minibus from Puka to Koman. From there, we will take a boat to Fierza. During the ride, we get to enjoy the spectacular views of the canyon and surrounding peaks that have been slowly chiseled into existence by the pristine lake Koman. From Fierze we continue by minibus to Bujan where we visit the tower of Mic Sokoli, a typical North Albanian tower.

On the way to Valbona we make some short breaks in some natural attractions like the canyon of Shoshan, and the cave of Dragobia, to name a couple. There we will sip a locally brewed beer while nestled among the soaring mountains surrounding Valbona Valley. We will have dinner in the restaurant Rilindja Valbone before retiring to our accommodations in Quku I Valbones.

Albania Agritourism Tour – From Tropoja to Central Albania

Furthermore, we travel to Tropoja Village. From there, we will begin walking from Shoshan to Katund i Paqes. On our way, we will learn about the traditions, history, and culture of these villages.

Lunch will be in a family house in the village of Shoshan. We will travel back to Tropoja by minibus where we will enjoy a short walk around the village, then dinner and accommodations in the Aste Guesthouse. At Aste Guesthouse you will have a unique possibility to have a wonderful walking experience done in an authentic way.

Sometimes it can be a great insight into the local nature, mountain geology, birdlife; sometimes it can be an activity such as collecting blueberries, mountain tea, sheep herding, and sometimes just being a guest into the local families, knowing their living,

Itinerary

After being picked up at the airport, we will visit the center of Tirana, the Ethem Bey Mosque, and a few other landmarks. We will then return to our hotel where we will spend the night.

We visit the city of Lezhe and the memorial grave of Scanderbeg. Lunch will be served in the agritourism center of Fishte. We travel by local minibus from Puka to Koman. From there, we will take a boat to Fierza. We travel with a local minibus until Kukaj village. From there we start walking to Rragam village and the Valbona waterfall. From there we can take a look at Jezerca mountain, the highest in Northern Albania. After enjoying lunch in a guesthouse in Rragam, we will return to the Quku i Valbones. During dinner we will enjoy a folk performance where we will learn more about the local culture.

We travel to Tropoja Village. From there, we will begin walking from Shoshan to Katund i Paqes. On our way, we will learn about the traditions, history, and culture of these villages. Lunch will be in a family house in the village of Shoshan. We will travel back to Tropoja by minibus where we will enjoy a short walk around the village, then dinner and accommodations in the Aste Guesthouse.

We will cross the border to Kosovo where we will visit the historic city of Prizren. There, we will visit the Memorial of the Albanian League, Sinan Pasha’s Mosque, the Serbian Orthodox Church, and more. After this we travel along the shores of Drini i Zi River using a road called Drita (the light). At the end of this road lies the Doda Castle Village. Dinner with traditional dishes in Kala e Dodes.

We'll walk through the village of Kala e Dodes under the shadow of Korabi Mountain, which is the highest in Albania, while we learn more about the culture and the traditions of this region. Lunch will be in the form of a picnic in the meadows near the village. In the afternoon we go back to Kukes and then travel to the village of Katund i Vjeter in Rubik. Accommodation in Rubik in the hotel Marubi.

We visit the castle of Kruja and the Scanderbeg Museum housed within the castle itself. Lunch will be at the Hajdar Kuqi farm in Marikaj. We drive to the city of Berat (UNESCO) where we will visit the castle of Berat and the “Onufri” museum in the castle. Accommodation in hotel Mangalem. Overnight in Berat

We will visit some interesting destinations in the Belsh and Dumrea regions. In Elbasan we visit the castle of Elbasan and the St. Maria Church. We will continue on to Ibe, a village near Tirana. Dinner and accommodation in the Kame Resort in the village.

We will either take a walk to the spring of the Erzeni River, or walk around the city of Tirana. After this, we will transfer to the airport where our tour will end.
