Overview

Plav is a small town in Montenegro and located at the base of Mountain Prokletije. Known for its beautiful lake with the same name this place is a to-stay destination while you hike the beautiful Via Dinarica Mountains. Plav can be your next stop!<br /> There you will find<br /> Holy Trinity Monastery<br /> A centuries-old spiritual center for the Orthodox population in the area, this Monastery was erected in the 12th century. It was built in the Byzantine style and is believed to be older than the Decani Monastery.<br /> Plav Lake<br /> In the foothills of the Prokletije mountains, at a place where long-vanished glaciers used to exist, the valley housing the Plav Lake is located. The Ljuca river carries the cold and clear water of the Prokletije snow to the Plav Valley, across the Ali-Pasha Springs, all the way to the Plav Lake.<br /> Redzepagic Tower<br /> The oldest and most beautiful tower in the area is the Redzepagic Tower, dating back to the 17th century, built by Hasan-Beg Redzepagic.
