From the curative sands of Velipoja to the lively streets of Ohrid, Albania to Macedonia offer lots. So, they offer an interesting mixture of culture, history tradition, and delicious cuisine. We have the chance to tour most of Albania and the eastern part of Macedonia. Also, we will swim on the Adriatic coast, enjoy the panorama of the Albanian Highlands, dig deeper into the history and culture of Ohrid, Berat, Gjirokastra, and Korca.
This tour starts in the lovely Durres, the city that washes antiquity. From Durres, our guide will take you on an exploration of this antique city that is built on the shore of the Adriatic Sea. There we can visit one of the biggest Roman Amphitheaters in the Balkan dating back to the 2nd century AD and holding about 15 000 spectators.
After visiting Durres this Albania to Macedonia takes you to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Berat. A UNESCO protected site, that is divided into three parts that you will discover in this tour. The road to being one of Europe’s most beautiful places is paved with chunky limestone streets, houses that sit rows upon rows with 1001 windows, and a castle that makes it look like a fairytale place. After Berat, we will take you to another fairytale place, that of Apollonia. There you will have a guided visit to the archaeological center of Apollonia renowned for its school of philosophy during the 1st century.
Meanwhile, the tour continues by the sea. You will have a guided visit to Vlora, the city where the Albanian Independence was proclaimed in 1912. And then head towards Saranda.
The Albania to Macedonia tour will take you to explore one of the most ancient places in Albania. You will travel to the archeological center of Butrint, one of the most visited sites of Albania. Butrinti is one of the most preserved and restored archeological sites in Albania.
Furthermore, after having visited Butrint, the tour goes to the stone city of Gjirokastra. Visiting Gjirokaster is always delightful, as it is known for its impressive architecture and cobbled streets. Our next stop is Korça the city of serenades.
Our visits continue to the city of Ohrid. Named otherwise the Jerusalem of Balkans, Ohrid is a UNESCO protected city. Our visits continue in Saint Naum Monastery and the Byzantine Churches of Ohrid, Unesco World Heritage Site.
Travel to Elbasan to see the Castle built by Sultan Mehmet II and King Mosque one of the oldest in Albania. In Tirana, we visit the National Historic Museum where we can have a comprehensive look at Albanian History. Tirana is the colorful capital of Albania and as one it deserves all the attention it can get. It has historical importance and is home to the statue of Scanderbeg. In the heart of the city, you will find the statue and the famous Scanderbeg Square, and just right to it, you will see all the other attractions of Tirana.

Kruja was the chief town of our National Hero Scanderbeg, an important Albanian leader of the 15 century. We can learn more about his history at Kruja Museum. The museum shows the life of our national hero in steps, his battles his victories, and just behind the museum is located part of his original castle. Kruja withstood three major sieges with him as a ruler. After the museum, we can have free time for shopping in the Bazaar a beautiful cobbled street with lots of souvenirs to buy. Travel to Mother Theresa Airport and departure.
