Itinerary

Your guide will meet you at the entrance of museum. Once inside, you will visit all pavilions and galleries starting from the ancient period where you learn about Illyrian origin of the Albanians. Next you visit other pavilions such as the middle Ages, Independence, the Anti Fascism War and Renaissance. These pavilions are not only full of history, documents and statues but also with rare objects as Mors telegraph device (1896) used by the Interim Government during 1912-1914, as well as the riffle of Walter Audicios, one of the executors of Benito Mussolini.In the pavilion of communism you will discover bitter evidences of persecution, original execution documents and political prisoners list, as well an improvised prisoner cell.You will get to know more about Albanian origin of Mother Teresa by visiting a pavilion dedicated to her and watch closely some of her personal objects.

Please note that Monday the museum remains closed.
