From Koman to Fierze is a ferry line that will take you to discover the fjords of Albania, and along the way, you will discover the breathtaking views. The ride rivals many river cruises in Europe. The Komani Lake car ferry runs daily between April and October.
Kuksi Lake also known as Fierza Lake was created in 1978 following the construction of a 167 meters high dam in Fierza Hydro Power Plant. The surface area of the lake is 72 square km. Over 50 square km (70percent of the lake) are suitable for fish-related economic activities. Currently, the number of fish species on Fierza Lakes varies between 13 and 15.
One of the key moments in the lake habitat was the introduction of new fish species, more specifically the Sander Lucioperca (luçiperka in Albanian), carp, and the silver carp.
There are also ferries that run in the off-season between November and March. But this time of year there are no car ferries, just passenger boats. The Koman Lake to Fierze Jezerca ferry also takes bicycles.
