It is a constant invitation to go further to the inner parts of the country, and to discover the natural beauties, cultural, archeological, customs and ethnographic beauties of Albania. The coast, apart from the rich culture that offers along its extension, is at the same time the nearest and shorter connection with the most parts of the Albanian tourism centers, the cultural monuments, archeological and museum centers.

The Albanian coastline, together with the lagoons, is situated along two seas: Adriatic Sea and Ionian Sea, covering around one third of the territory. Each of the coasts represents its particularities and features.

Highlights

Adriatic Coast
It starts from Buna and ends in the city of Vlora. Once it used to be a coast of Dalmat type, with deep bays and islands. Today, it is transformed mainly into a low and accumulative coast. The creation of the underwater banks, spires, and littoral cordons have led to the big sandy beaches and they have transformed sea bays into lagoons.
The most suitable sandy beaches for your holidays are: Velipoja, Shengjini, Kune, Bay of Lalzi, Durresi, Golemi, Divjaka, etc. There you will find tiny sand, pure seawater, very cozy infrastructure, high-quality service, and modern traditional cuisine. Diversified lagoons and with a very rich bio-diversity have: backwaters, streams, lake and lagoons. They offer great opportunities for those keen in nature, eco-tourism and contemplation of numberless birds, among them very rare birds, such as: Dalmatian pelican, the greatest bird in Europe, etc. There are also many other birds and animals, that offer chances for practicing the sport of hunting in the bogs rich eco-systems.
