What You can Expect
You travel from Tirana to Shkodra in the morning at 8:30hr. Once you get to Shkodra you will walk for about 10-15 min up through the cobblestoned street to the entrance of the castle. Along the way you will be rewarded with fantastic views of Shkodra Lake and the Lead Mosque. As you visit the castle of Rozafa you will learn about the legend of the woman who got sacrificied in order that the castle itself could stand up. You will see the monument of Rozafa feeding her baby from the walls. In addition you will know more about people’s history and how they survived from different occupations.
Next stop is the Museum that sheds light on every stone and ruin you visited so far, giving answers on the questions you might have had throughout the tour.
Finish by soaking up the breathtaking views of Tarabosh mountain and Shkodra Lake. Enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Buna, Drini and Kiri River.
